LABORATORY EVALUATION OF TMOF+Bti ( QUITI-KILL / MOUSTICIDE BIOLARVICIDE ) WETTABLE POWDER AGAINST Aedes aegypti LARVAE
The Medical Entomology Laboratory of the Department of Parasitology, College of Public Health, University of the Philippines- Manila was engaged to do a laboratory evaluation of TMOF+Bti ( QUITI-KILL / MOUSTICIDE ) Wettable Powder and, in December 2011. The larvicide was tested against 3rd-4th instar larvae of Aedes aegypti.
The study concluded that QUITI-KILL BioLarvicide Wettable Powder “was effective in killing 100% of the test larvae at concentrations 0.05 to 1.0 PPM.”
The table below shows the mean larval mortality within 24 and 48 hours compared to negative control.
